This is the first truly significant 3D modelling project that I’ve undertaken since I finished my 3-month stint of learning with CG Cookie. It’s a posable bust of a boy for which I’ve made 14 facial expressions. I sculpted, retopologized, painted, rigged, and posed this model in Blender. I rigged it using the Pitchipoy metarig provided by the Rigify add-on.
I’m quite pleased with the way this turned out. For me, many aspects of the work involved in this project were uncharted territory, so to speak. It serves as both a learning exercise and a portfolio piece.
